I remember planting Lobelias with my mother in the spring. I can still hear her say, “now be very gentle,” as she placed the fragile flowers in my hands. I remember feeling so important. I was little, and I doubt I was very gentle, but think it’s so beautiful that my mother let me help her. Because as the summer went on I got to see our beautiful garden grow. Something I helped with. I was proud of my hard work. We watched our garden grow together.
This is a detailed print of my original “Growing Together” acrylagouache painting.
