This is a detailed print of my original “Crown of Olives” gouache and watercolor painting.

The inspiration for this piece came when my husband and I finished a TV show with a bit of a sad ending. I know it sounds morbid but after it was over I was literally thinking: “What if there really IS nothing after we die?” It made me want to live forever.

Then I remembered Christ. I believe he really, SERIOUSLY existed. And if I believe that, then death isn’t the end. Christ is crowned in olive leaves in this painting because they represent victory and triumph. A reminder of what is possible, because of Him.
